Day 30: Madison to Milwaukee

Some of the Trek staff that we met on Saturday accompanied us for today's post rest day ride from Madison to Milwaukee.  There was not a cloud in the sky for the majority of the day and temperatures rose to around 30 C in the afternoon with mostly favourable winds.  So it was another enjoyable day's cycling through more rolling Wisconsin countryside and nice to chat to some new people along the way.  After lunch the Trek guys left us to get a lift back to Madison while we pressed on to Milwaukee via lengthy stretches of bike path which made a nice change from the road.  Charlene was back in the saddle after her accident and looking strong which was great to see.  Tonight's hotel is a really cool converted warehouse and one of the best we have stayed in. I got to the hotel just before 2pm so had time to have a wander over to the Harley Davidson museum nearby  (they were founded here) and get a salted caramel milkshake in lieu of not being able to find my regular Muscle Milk tipple anywhere close.
